Dear Class of 2021 Students and Families,

The PSAT (Practice SAT test) will be given on Wednesday, October 16th beginning at 9 AM.  Report to the North entrance.


Why should juniors take the PSAT?

  • It mirrors the SAT, students taking the PSAT do better on the SAT.
  • Juniors can qualify for National Merit Scholarship and other awards (scholarships) based on their 11th grade PSAT scores.
  • PSAT results can be linked to Khan Academy to help prepare you for the SAT that does count for scholarships and college admissions in your senior year.


Cost- 16.00 dollars


There are practice booklets available with test questions and tips.


The test consists of three sections:

Evidence Based Reading- 60-minute test with 47 questions.

Writing and Language- 35 minutes with 44 questions.

Math- 25 minutes with no calculator, 45 minutes with calculator with 47 questions.


We will need to complete the answer sheet and with breaks the test will end close to 1:00.  Students may bring a snack to eat while on a break. 

The deadline to let Ms. Baker know that you want to sit for this test is Monday, Oct. 7th.  The cost is $16, and checks/money can be brought on the day of testing.  There is limited seating so please email Maria Baker at or call her at 239-461-8493 as soon as possible to secure your spot and/or with any questions that you have.
